Employment contracts, workplace processes, employer obligations and disputes.
Choosing Legal Help for a Disciplinary Hearing
Give the allegations, policy, response deadline and proposed hearing date when making an enquiry. Explain whether you are the employee, employer or HR contact. The required advice may concern the response, investigation, process or a decision that has not yet been made.
Ask whether advice includes preparation, review of evidence, hearing arrangements or an internal appeal. Keep the proposed scope distinct from automatic attendance or representation. Share new notices promptly so the team can assess how the timetable and instruction have changed.
Preparing Salary Records for Legal Advice
Create a period-by-period schedule of agreed pay, amounts received and the disputed balance. Keep the contract, payslips and available payment records together. Explain allowances, commissions and deductions separately so the amounts can be checked rather than assumed to have the same basis.
Identify the legal employer and any written acknowledgement or objection to the claim. Ask for advice on the relevant route and material deadlines. A calculation review, negotiation and a filed claim involve different work and should be explained in the proposal.
Compare the Proposed Work
Agree which documents are reviewed, what advice is supplied and who handles follow-up. Clarify costs, assumptions and any separate specialist work. Identify deadlines and how changes will be reported.
